Jasper is an award winning writer, producer and director, and member of BAFTA (he is a member of BAFTA Cymru’s Regions Committee), with over 15 years experience in TV & film production and development of both scripted and unscripted content.
Jasper develops and produces scripted and unscripted film, TV and content through his BAFTA Cymru nominated production company Hello Deer.
As a writer/director his films and screenplays have been selected for various international films festivals, nominated for and won awards, and screened on TV networks across the world. He’s developed TV projects with Channel 4, Avalon, and SO Television. He’s also an alumnus of the Edinburgh International Film Festival and Reykjavik International Film festival Talent Labs where he was selected as a writer/director, and has tutored at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. He’s also composed and performed all the soundtracks on his short films.
As a documentary maker, he’s directed numerous films for charities and political campaigns, often dealing with equality and mental health issues, and recently exec produced and directed the BAFTA Cymru nominated 60′ prime time ITV documentary: Richard Parks – Can I Be Welsh And Black? through Hello Deer. He recently produced and directed Hello Deer’s follow up: Richard Parks – Climbing Out of Lockdown.
